Hello, There

I'm Gabrielle Stahlschmidt

I began this studio built on the belief that every voice matters not simply as an instrument, but as an extension of the person behind it. Singing is one of the most personal art forms we possess; our voices are deeply intertwined with our stories, emotions, confidence, and identity in a way no other instrument can replicate.

What began as a passion for teaching music has grown into a thriving community rooted in connection, artistry, and wholehearted growth. Here, vocal training goes far beyond technique alone. Students are challenged to develop not only as singers, but as confident communicators, creative thinkers, compassionate collaborators, and artists with something meaningful to say. Through music, they learn to trust themselves, connect deeply with others, and discover the strength and individuality within their own voice.

Here's A Deeper Look

As a studio owner, higher education music professor and a life-long musician, I bring both academic depth and real-world performance experience into every lesson. Years spent on stage, in rehearsal rooms, and in studying pedagogy have shaped the way I teach: with structure, clarity, and genuine care for the whole singer.

My work lives at the intersection of functional technique, vocal science, and thoughtful mentorship. I believe excellent singing is built through understanding of the body, the breath, the mind, and the music itself. Grounded in research-informed pedagogy and years of performance and teaching experience, my approach equips singers not only to perform well, but to understand their instrument and grow with clarity and confidence.

I meet each singer where they are, while honoring who they are becoming. Whether working with beginners discovering their sound or advanced vocalists refining their craft, my focus remains the same: healthy technique, artistic depth, emotional safety, and long-term vocal sustainability.

This studio is intentionally structured and deeply personal. Every element, from curriculum to repertoire to performance opportunities, is designed with care and purpose. Students are trained with high standards and steady encouragement, not for quick results, but for meaningful, lasting growth.

At Gabrielle Studio of Music, excellence is not separate from expression. It is the foundation that allows artistry to flourish.

I'm a vocal coach with degrees in Music Education and the Psychology of Learning, and for over twelve years I've led Gabrielle Studio of Music in St. Louis with a clear purpose: to develop voices with depth, health, and artistry that last.

My daughter has been to several voice instructors over the years, but Gabrielle's studio has been far more than what we were hoping for!

Gabrielle is not only a brilliant teacher, she also helps her students grow into the person they always knew they could be.
